Read Time: 2 min

It’s exciting to travel to a new place, exploring new locations and cultures.  Video is a great way to share these experiences, it’s one of the most powerful mediums for storytelling. Video can take you to the heart of the action and make your audience feel like they're there themselves. It’s easier to record video than ever before, but few people really know how to capture video beyond hitting the record button.

When you frame a shot, you adjust the camera’s position until you achieve your desired composition. Should you shoot wide, or closer up? What you shoot and the order you arrange the shots in later, is entirely up to you, and the choices you make will influence your story and how others interpret it.

In this lesson, we’ll help you get into the mind-set of quick thinking and good, on-the-spot decision making, so that the footage you shoot will be worthwhile.
