As a photographer, images are just the start. How do you decide which are your best photographs? How do you selectively choose the best that represent your style, and then what’s the best way to display those in a portfolio to someone who may not be familiar with your work?
It's important to keep your objective and style in mind when it comes to this final edit of your portfolio. You have your selections in one folder, and your rejections in another, but it’s wise to make one more pass of the ‘selections’ to make sure that your offering really is the best it can be.
As we discovered in the last lesson, on how to make a rough cut of your portfolio, it’s wise to take a break from this so that you can come back to your choices with fresh eyes. Take another look through your rejection folder, just to be sure. By now, you should be feeling pretty confident about your decisions and be ready to start assembling them.
