In Combat: From a Marine's Side of the Camera
Over at The New York Times Lens Blog, Sgt. Thomas James Brennan wrote an article about Reuter's photographer, Finbarr O’Reilly, who embedded with his squad in Afghanistan. Until I read this, I believed that the relationship between soldier and journalist was tepid at best. Apparently, working side by side in a war zone makes you closer than I thought.
