Photoshop in 60 Seconds: Light Powder Retouching

As a photographer or designer, it's your duty to maintain the integrity of the photo you're working on while removing imperfections. And to keep yourself from getting that plastic, unnatural look, you can always opt to use a Photoshop Action. Browse the wide selection of Retouching Photoshop Actions on GraphicRiver to help you with all your photo needs.

In this quick tutorial, learn how to apply a light powdery finish to your photography using this Professional Retouching Actions Kit. And download the original Woman Stock to try this out yourself!

How to Apply a Light Powder Retouching Photoshop Action

Open your photo into Photoshop and Load the action into the Actions panel. Here is the original photo we'll be using for this tutorial.

Now select the Light Powder action from the Retouching Group and press Play. It may take a few seconds for your action to play out.

To adjust the effect, simply play around with the settings located in the New Group created from the action. I lowered the Opacity of some layers and Hid the Visibility of others like the Pop Layer to fine tune the result. You can also combine actions from the original package to create a softer look.
