The Corning Museum on Photographing Glass

Just because you didn’t get to go to that awesome photography conference doesn’t mean that you can’t learn something from the pros! Occasionally, we’ll be featuring a recommended photography lecture or interview on Phototuts+.

Today, we're featuring a lecture by the photography department at the Corning Museum of Glass. The lecture gives an in-depth look at the challenges of photographing a substance that can simultaneously be transparent and reflective depending on how you light it.

The quality of the presentation here is not superb. If you can get through the tough audio quality, you're in store for a good time.

You can browse hundreds of other photos of the pieces in the Corning Museum's collection by visiting www.cmog.org.
