3.3 Lighting Mods: The AC Stand Adapter
In the last few years, fluorescent lighting has become popular for photo and video shoots. Compact lights, umbrellas or softboxes, and AC stand adapters are great, inexpensive additions to your kit. One of the issues with the AC stand adapters, however, is the damaging way they hold umbrellas. You will find that they don't hold them very well or they are so tight that they chew up your umbrella poles! In this lesson you will learn a simple way to modify these AC stand adapters so that they hold an umbrella or softbox securely without crushing it!
